Shredder Comparison Transcript

Garden shredding is fast becoming a lot more popular now. Obvious advantages are that it reduces your garden waste in size and volume and speeds up composting significantly. You’ll have two choices to make, and electric powered or a petrol powered chipper. For normal domestic use, you won’t need a petrol powered chipper. For domestic use, any of these three chippers are very, very effective. The basic Alko slider here will take 35mm of waste, just feed it through the top, it has knives in the belly and the waste will come out of the bottom. Moving up onto the Micro shredder (which is a very, very popular shredder for domestic use) it has an extra knife in it, which reduces the waste by 20% so very, very effective machine. The silent shredder, by its name is a lot quieter to use, this not only cuts the waste, but it squashes the waste so it’s very, very effective in reducing the waste in the machine. This shredder also has the ability to take 40mm in diameter material and will have the added advantage of a reverse gear on it. So all of these machines for domestic use will be very, very good. The Silent shredder, by far the best, probably the most popular is the micro shredder as it reduces the waste very, very effectively and the machine is a good middle of the range priced garden shredder.
