Water
Gardens
Water
gardens are a very attractive feature. Adding a simple
pond or creating a series of pools can give your garden
it's own unique character. There are many options available,
and even a small shallow bird bath type water feature
will still be a great way to attract wildlife into your
garden.
The
following small guides should provide some useful advice.

Maintenance
To
keep your fountain and water feature in the best condition,
simple maintenance is required.
Water
pumps need to be checked and serviced from time to time.
It
is a good idea to place the pump close to the edge of
the pond or water feature as this will allow you to reach
them easily to disconnect the hose running to the fountain.
Clean
out any weed, silt or other debris that could prevent
the pump from drawing water.
Most
pumps will have some sort of filter system, and these
can be removed to wash out, and then replace. You may
have a pump that has a disposable filter that requires
a new filter to be installed at certain intervals. Consult
the pumps instruction manual for specific details related
to the type of pump you have installed.
Any
failure related to electrical supply should be repaired
by a qualified electrician.
