Plant Care
All the plants you have in your garden and also inside the house, should be cared for correctly. This will ensure you get the best displays and long-life from them.
Early Trimming
If you are creating a new hedge, or have one already well established, it is important to remember that some hedging species of hedging plants require clipping at an early stage to prevent leggy growth. Anyone planting a new hedge will find the following guidelines helpful.
Cut evergreens, such as box and lonicera, back by one third Deciduous plants, such as privet and beech, to 15cm to 30cm (6in to 12in) high. Trim their sides during the first summer to encourage dense growth.
