Chainsaws: Owner Review
The Husqvarna 55 Chainsaw.
I was greatly pleased with the Husqvarna
Chain Saw Model 55 that I purchased for the price and
the quality. I was a new user of a chainsaw and was told
that this one would cut anything I needed.
The salesman was right. I loved watching
the saw slice through the trees with great easy. I got
this sense of POWER whenever I would cut.
The handle is easy to use on any job (sideways,
diagonal, or vertical) The safety features are amazing.
I feel like children could operate this machine. Although
they probably should not. The starting for a new comer
was some what difficult untill I learned a trade secret
that a tree expert showed me. When the chain saw has not
been started in a while do all the proper prep procedures.
Then put the chain saw on the ground. I put my right foot
between the trigger and the bottom of the handle. I then
place my left hand on the top handle to stabilise the
saw. Then I crank the saw with my right. The saw starts
immediately and just up to a controlled speed but is not
touching the ground and is stabilised so there is no real
danger. Then I put my right hand on top of where my foot
is. Remove my foot and then pick the saw off the ground
and saw away until either I am finished or run out of
petrol.
Make sure the safety lock is off in this
case. The lock is normally recommended to start it and
the chain will not turn but the way I just said would
cause that to break or burn up because the blade will
be turning. I have found this to be the best way because
of the quickness. The first couple of time I was nervous
but it has become natural and is no problem now.
I have really loved my chain saw and will
purchase the same model again. I would recommend this
for domestic use. Also the chain automatically adds the
right amount of oil to a bar according to the speed. GREAT
FEATURE!!!
