Chainsaws: Owner Review
The Husqvarna 350 Chainsaw.
I opted for the Husqvarna 350 for a little
added power with an 18" bar length. I bought online for
£50 less than the local dealers offered. Since,
we've used it on 5 huge fir trees and limbs. This saw
has easy access to fill both fuel and bar/chain oil. Starting
is fairly easy once you're used to it. It has a small
'choke' lever and a compression release button. This button
releases the pressure in the combustion chamber allowing
an easier pull the first time after you've been using
it. The pull cord is typical. The handle is typical, curved
with a flat area beneath it to allow you to place your
foot on it to hold the chainsaw still when pulling to
start. However, the flatter, broader side of that area
is on the opposite side of the chainsaw from how you would
set it while pulling the cord. It just seems a little
awkward. The chainsaw has an antivibration feature and
you can actually see how it works, and it works well.
During operation, the saw calls for refilling the bar
oil every time you refuel the saw. This did not seem excessive.
Every operation of the saw thus far has been excellent.
I would recommend it for the homeowner.
