Chainsaws:
Owner Review
The
Husqvarna 141 Chainsaw
We
moved house recently and the new place had a tree that
happened to be in the wrong place, and i didn't have a
chainsaw. After a bit of research i went for a Husqvarna
and the 141 as i wasn't going to be a frequent user.
I
knew that Husqvarna make good quality chainsaws, and I
liked the fact that this model came with a 16" bar. After
bringing it home, I had a good read through the owner's
manual as I hadn't used a chainsaw before.
It
gave good information related to operating the saw safely,
as well as how to go about felling tree and then limbing
and bucking the logs. I mixed the fuel/oil per the owner's
manual and added petrol. It started easily, no problem.
The tree was down and cut up within an hour and a half.
This
saw sliced through with no hesitation or problems. I especially
liked how the chainsaw uses fuel and bar oil at the same
rate, so when fueling the saw you also need to refill
the bar oil.
I
have subsequently used this saw to fell and cut up many
trees on my father's property, as well as helped a friend
cut down a decent sized walnut tree. It has started and
run strong through even the tough walnut wood.
This
saw is lightweight and powerful (10.1 lbs and 2.6hp).
It has an automatic chain oiler, a safety chain brake,
and a good vibration dampening system. It's probably the
best saw for the money especially for the more casual
user.
