4 Stroke Mantis Cultivator Cultivator

Cultivators

The Mantis 4 Stroke Cultivator is world famous for it's ability which we have managed to secure at an amazing price. The Mantis is a top selling cultivator year after year and for good reason. This mantis has a 4 cycle Honda engine and uniquely twisted tines, which rotate at 240 rpm, which is twice the speed of most tillers. It digs down a full 10" (25cm) even in hard-packed earth. By switching the tines around it will dig just a few inches into the soil to weed a large 30' x 50' garden in a half hour. Coupled with its lightweight fold-down handlebars for easy storage, it's easy to use ergonomic speed control and convenient on/off switch it's easy to see why the Mantis is so popular. Weighing just 9Kg it is very easy to manoeuvre. The Mantis also has the added advantage of having a number of optional accessories which can be very easily swapped with the tines to convert into a Lawn Aerator, Lawn Dethatcher, Crevice Cleaner, Furrower or Border Edger.

Autumn Gardening - November Greenhouse
Snow generally slides off the corrugated panels of a greenhouse, especially if you are heating it, but should snow begin to accumulate, brush it off with a broom as it not only adds to the weight on the roof

Autumn gardening - September greenhouse
Decide what you want to bring back into the greenhouse from the garden. Check to make sure the plants and pots are insect-free before you bring them in, as insects and diseases that are a problem in the garden will become an absolute epidemic in the greenhouse where conditions suit their rampant growth and multiplication.

Autumn Gardening - Wildlife
You may not know it, but your garden in autumn is a bit like Heathrow airport! The search for a reliable food supply and/or a safe place to spend the winter months means wild animals are currently on the move and if your garden offers nectar, fruit and berries, or protection from the worst of the weather, expect a wide variety of visitors.

Garden Plants - Autumn gardening - Flowers for arrangements
Autumn offers a paradox - it's the time of year when we have Harvest Festivals and many County show, and yet it's the most difficult time of year to get a decent display of cut flowers from the garden.

Autumn gardening - Lawn care
It's traditional to give lawns a pick-me-up in September, to revitalise them after dry summer weather and to ensure they are fit enough to get through winter.
