The fine shredding reduce volume by 20% and will decompose 2-3 times faster than coarser shreddings. Finer shreddings are also ideal for mulching. For green garden waste and coarse shreddings, the fine shredding blades can be simply removed by two screws which hold them in place. The Alko Micro Garden Shredder has 5 additional blades which shred and chip branches and twigs up to 40mm into ultra-fine shredded material for fast composting.
